Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.

Q: Just purchased the license for deluxe-menu.

The javascript submenu do not go over top of my other elements like the FAQ says it should.

A: Now you have the following style Z-INDEX: 2000; for .titleTopCenterDIV.

The menu has lower index in that case.

Try to set it to
Z-INDEX: 10;



Q: Is it possible, for instance, to call dm_init multiple times in the list menu java? If so, do you have an example?

A: Yes, you can call dm_init(); function multiple times (for example youcan call several data files, or move menuItems array and dm_init();function into your page directly) to have multiple menus on your page.



Q: Does your product generate the page code or is t a dll I have to use? Reason I ask is because we store our menu stuff with image references in a db. If your product outputs code for the menu, then I can use that and in my own code I can place/substitute values and work with it from there.

A: We have an .exe file - Deluxe tuner.
It generates .js files with menu parameters.
You can also export your menu to .html file.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so, you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: I am having problems with the XP Taskbar Menu.  When I use DOCTYPE in the following format, the task bar does not show up atall for the exception of a single line.

When I hover my mouse on top of that line the menu displays fine with no problems.  So the problem is with the Start button and the taskbar – they do not show.  Can you please advice on how to fix this problem while keeping the DOCTYPE as specified.


A: Try to set the exact width for the menu:
