  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I am working currently with deluxe-menu and am perfectly happy so far except one little thing: Does there exist a way to have the mousepointer being a hand instead of the regular pointer while going over the menu (like it would be regular links)?


A: You should set this parameter:
  var itemCursor="pointer";

In this case you'll have the mousepointer being a hand for all itemsin the menu.

Unfortunately, you can't change cursor type for different items.
But you can write so:

In all items with links you should use <a> tag.

Set this parameter:
  var itemCursor="default";


Q: Even with the shadow setting removed -- there's a white space that surrounds the menu. I just can't figure out where the 1px white padding is coming from. I've checked and doubled checked my CSS -- so the problem is within the script with a setting I'm not familiar with.

A: Set

  var menuBorderWidth=0;

to remove white border from your submenus.

Add the following parameter to your Table:

Q: All java script html menu tabs seem to have white in the upper corners rather than transparent.

A: You should delete white color and make corners transparent in anyGraph editor, for example in Photoshop.

Q: Comprehensive Mental Health has a site license to \use Deluxe Menu. We are currentlyrunning version 2.0.

Unless we set the topdy parameter to be -65, our submenus do not appear adjacent to the toplevel menu. Below are our parameters and our menu. What is causing this problem?


A: It is possible that you have some problems with your css.
The problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add <DIV id=SiteMenu>

to the

style="position:absolute;"

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=SiteMenu style="position:absolute;">

Check that.
