Q: I’m very interested in your script of deluxe-menu.
I tryed your script out and have some questions now:

How do I highlight main menu items when I selected a main category?
How do I highlight submenu items when I selected a sub category?
How can I have a submenu unfoldet when I selected the matching main category?

A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover. We'll try to add the pressed state in the future.

You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: Can youtell me which transition is the regular traditional transition with no effects for the dhtml navigation?

A: You can use
  var transition=0;

if you don't want to use transition you should set:

  var transition=0;
  var transOptions="";
  var transDuration=0;
  var transDuration2=0;

Q: It all works great under IE, but when you view it in Firefox the fly-out menus (off of Products, Services & About Us) do not appear over the Flash animation to the right in IE.

It works fine under Firefox on all other pages apart form Home, because Home is the only page with containing the Flash animation.

Could you please have a look and let us know if this is a known issue (we're using the latest 8 dmenu .js file, time-stamped 11 April 2006).

Q: We are using a licensed copy of Deluxe-Menu but in Internet Explorer 7.0 it displays an incorrect copyright message even though all parameters are included and the key is correct. Help! We cannot leave our web site up in this condition!


A: Deluxe Menu v2.0 works fine in IE7.
