Q: I am now running the newest version, all ok. A new client wants to have submenus openFor the left hand menu navigation that I purchased, can I choose what dhtml tree menus will be expanded or collapsed when the user first comes to the webpage for the first time?
For instance, right now, when the user first goes to the page ALL of the menus are collapsed. If I wanted the first and third tree menus to be expanded and the others to stay collapsed when a new user first went to the page, how would I accomplish that?

A: You can expand some items by default.
Add '+' sign before items text in that case:

Use var texpanded=1; parameter to expand all menu items by default.

I seem to have no control over the length of time the tooltip stays active nor the colour or size of the font in that through script drop down menu. Am I missing something? I would like to be able to have the tooltip stay for about 30 seconds and also change the font size and colour of text in the tooltip only.
A: No this is a standard hint, there is no way to increase the time it stayson the screen or change its color.
Q: I cannot see the shadow on the top items of the menu. Can you help me?
A: Now you have shadow the submenus only, if you want to have shadowfor the top items you should set the following parameters:

You can see the shadow in Internet Explorer 5+ only.

Q: The reason why I bought this javascript menu html was its ability to float. I have inserted the following data under Floatable Menu but my menu is fixed like a rock.

A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use
var absolutePos = 0;
and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
