Q: Ok I found the problem. When I make   var floatable=0; dhtml flyout menu stays perfectly on the top as before but when I change it to   var floatable=1; then it stays on top when the page loads but moves down when the page fully loads.


A: There are additional parameters for floatable feature in v3.2 now.
You can find them in Deluxe Tuner.

Try to write:
  var floatableDX=0;
  var floatableDY=0;

These parameters set minimal space for widow border.


Q: Deluxe menu v. 2 (the most recent version) -- I've triedeverything but cannot get the separator images (vertical orhorizontal) to appear. My other images appear fine, and I know theimages are where I've called them. I've tried root relative anddocument relative paths, and even set the advanced image prefixvariable, but they never appear. Can you spot what's wrong?

A related question: what I'm trying to do is to simply have a 1pxseparator between my main items (vertical) and between my sub-items(horizontal). Short of building a css mode menu, is this possibleusing your script -- if I set border=1 without any spacing, then thetwo borders between adjoining items come together and I get whatappears to be a 2px border separator. Is it possible to set margin-right=1, margin-bottom=1? This doesn't seem possible through thetuner: it appears to be border on all four sides or nothing.


A: You should see the following parameters:

Q: How can I have two menus dhtml under each other using the float option? So that do not collide with each other?

A: You can try to adjust the following parameters to the one menu:

  var floatableDX=15;
  var floatableDY=15;

Q: I use v3.0.
I cannot manage to search within the menu.

I have done this:

  var dmSearch=2
"search:" in the link of a new item


A: You forgot to copy dmenu_search.js file on your server.

See the attached example. Search works fine.

You can also specify styles for the search box:
