Recent Questions

Q: I am not able to get the Keystrokes function to work.  The variable is set to 1 on both parameters and it is set at 113 for the F2 function key but it is not highlighting anything on the horizontal menu I have, any ideas?

A: Please check that you have dmenu_key.js file in the same folder withyour dmenu.js file.

You can also send us a copy of your html page (including .js files) ora direct link to your website, so we can check it.



Q: We are experimenting with your library but can't seem to make it work. I am getting "d_ddm is undefined" in dmenu_popup.js menu script.

Could you tell me what we are doing wrong?

A: You should change

onClick="return dm_popup(1, 500, event);

to

onClick="return dm_popup(0, 500, event);

If you have only one menu on the page your menuInd = 0;

Q: I’m very interested in your script of deluxe-menu.
I tryed your script out and have some questions now:

How do I highlight main menu items when I selected a main category?
How do I highlight submenu items when I selected a sub category?
How can I have a submenu unfoldet when I selected the matching main category?

A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover. We'll try to add the pressed state in the future.

You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: I had create a website navigation bar ,in that I need to give separator. But its not working.
Please advise.

A: To add a separator you should

You can create separators using menuItems (you can do it in DeluxeTuner, use "Add separator" button), for example:
