Actually you can use your own Javascript code instead standard links and html code inside item text. For example:

In other words, my easy dropdown menu is at the bottom of the page and I want the drop down list to actually go "up," not down. Is that possible with your software?

A: You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
