  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: I have used your Deluxe-menu on my websit. With the browser Opera I have problems with the dhtml scrolling menu item-color. If I select the menu at the first time, the item color is black. After select a menu item the menu item color is #f0e4cc, this is correct. After re-select the menu the item color is #f0e4cc also. After browser re-start the menu item color is black :-(

A: See it is not correctly to write colors in the following way (without # symbol):
  var fontColor=["f0e4cc","f0e4cc"];

You should write:
  var fontColor=["#f0e4cc","#f0e4cc"];

Your menu will work correctly in all browsers in that case.

Q: My client wants their drop down navigation to lock into place when someone visits a page. Is there a way to do this?
Right now it disappears when you click the link.

A: I suppose that you're saying about submenus.

Try to set the pressed item using the following API function:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion, parentOpen)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a dynamic menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
parentOpen = true/false - open all submenus to show the selected item

Try to click 'Highlight "Product Info/Installation/Description ofFiles" item'.

You can also try to use the following parameter:
  var smHidePause = 1000;
A delay (in ms) between mouse is moved from submenu and its closing.
You can make submenus to stay visible till you click outside the menu or scroll your page.
To enable this feature you should set this parameter in the following way:   var smHidePause = -1;

Q: I'm trying to get the dhtml tab menu aligned to the right. Can you make a suggestion on how I can do this?

A: Try to install your tabs into the table with right alignment, for example:

Q: Is there a property in the data.js file - or any other file - where the pulldown menu can be hidden initially until needed?

A: You can hide the menu onload
document.getElementById('dm0m0').style.visibility = "hidden";

And then show the menu when your user will be validated.
