Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.
  • Create separators using your own pictures, size and alignment.

Q: I did have a question. I cannot seem to figure out how to get the individual menu styles to be applied to any of my items for thenavigation bar through the Deluxe Tuner. I’ve looked through through your documentation, but I cannot find anything that explains to me how I do this in the Deluxe Tuner.

A: To create Individual styles click "Edit Individual Styles..." button.

1) In the "Individual Styles" window click "Add Style", enter the nameof the new style.
2) Edit parameters of your style
4) Click "OK" button.
5) Select items (you can use Ctrl and Shift buttons to select group ofitems) and assign "Item Style"/"Submenu Style" to it. (in the "Item Parameters" window)




Q: Does your product generate the page code or is t a dll I have to use? Reason I ask is because we store our menu stuff with image references in a db. If your product outputs code for the menu, then I can use that and in my own code I can place/substitute values and work with it from there.

A: We have an .exe file - Deluxe tuner.
It generates .js files with menu parameters.
You can also export your menu to .html file.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so, you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: I am working in a Hispanic area, and need to be able to utilize specialcharacters
in titles in for navigation menus.
However, those are appearing distorted on my website.

A: Actually you can use any letters in the menu.

Please, check that you've set "Tools/Use utf8 encode".

When you save your data file in UTF8 you should use the same encoding on our html page.

So you should write:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off
"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manually
change your letters in any text editor.

Q: The dhtml floating menu does not align to the top of the column and it migrates as one scrolls up or down the page. I would like it to stay in one place.

A: 1) Add valign="top"> parameter for the TD tag with the menu:

2) Open your frenchdata.js file in any text editor (or Deluxe Tuner) and change:

3) To turn off the floating feature you should set the following parameter in yourfrenchdata.js file:
