Q: As a follow up, please could you take a look at the attached images and let us know if there are any settings within the javascript drop menu files set within the previous mail that would make the 1st sub menu indent a couple of pixels when the 2nd sub menu sits correctly.
A: This is space to document borders. We've set this space, so that yoursubmenus will not look like the part of browser window. If you wantyou can delete that space.
Open dmenu.js file in any text editor and find the following code:
space=15;
Change 15 to 0.
space=0;
Q: How i can isert any html code in css dynamic menu?
A: You are able to paste any html code within items.
So you can paste a form too.
For example:
var menuItems = [
...
["||<nobr><FORM method=GET action='http://www.google.com/custom'><input name='as_q' value='searchthe web' size=15 style='font-size:10'> <INPUT type=hidden name=cof
value='LW:144;L:http://domain.edu/images/sulogo.gif;LH:45;AH:center;GL:0;S:
http://domain.edu;AWFID:e01cb67b8afe383e;'></form></nobr>","", "images/icons/search.gif", "", "", "", "", "2", "", "", "",],
Q: I've noticed something strange in the Deluxe Tree and I am wondering if this is normal.
Here's an example I have in my "data.js" file to populate the javascript ajax tree:
var tmenuItems = [
["Mes alertes/My alerts","", "", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["|Francais","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "js/AjaxTreeFr.js", ],
["|English","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "js/AjaxTreeEn.js", ],
];
Here's basically how it goes:
- Basically the "0" represents a pre-built style that I have set for the root of my tree.
- Under this are the first child of the root called "Francais" and "English" which I link with a JS file to populate (Because the users will customize the alerts they want to see).
This works perfectly fine. But it is a workaround. Let me explain what I wanted in the first place:
var tmenuItems = [
["Mes alertes ","", "", "", "", "", "", "0", "", " js/AjaxTreeFr.js ", ],
["My alerts","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "js/AjaxTreeEn.js", ],
];
Basically I wanted to have 1 javascript ajax tree with 2 root items "Mes alertes" and "My alerts" but it seems impossible to attach a js file to the root of the tree view. (It doesn't get populated).
Any ideas?
A: See AJAX feature won't work for first-level in XP style now.
It works if you use:
var tXPStyle=0;
Q: The dhtml floating menu does not align to the top of the column and it migrates as one scrolls up or down the page. I would like it to stay in one place.
A: 1) Add valign="top"> parameter for the TD tag with the menu:
<td valign="top">
<script type="text/javascript" src="welcome_files/frenchdata.js"></script>
2) Open your frenchdata.js file in any text editor (or Deluxe Tuner) and change:
var absolutePos=0;
var posX="20px";
var posY="120px";
to
var absolutePos=0;
var posX="0px";
var posY="0px";
3) To turn off the floating feature you should set the following parameter in yourfrenchdata.js file:
var floatable=0;
