Q: Now I experiences a problem with the Danish letters in my java menu scripts! I have changed the letters in the scriptfile - but this does not work Have we a problem with Danish letters like: ø, å, æ?

A: Please, check that you've set "Tools/Use utf8 encode".

Notice that you should have UTF8 charset on your page too:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html" charset="UTF-8">

You can also use another charset on your html page and open your data file in text editor, enter thissymbols and save data file in the way you save your html page.
Notice that you should turn off "Tools/Use utf8 encode" setting inorder to open your data file correctly in Deluxe Tuner.



Q: Can you resize the height of a submenu button to 22px? (The main dhtml pulldown menu should remain the same height).

I am sending you html files. Please checked it out and is it possible in delux menu?

A: Set itemHeight=22px for the styles (dhtml pulldown menu and sub):

Q: I'm trying created an independent menu from my html pages.
I have several pages stored in directories and subdirectories,
I would like to call theses pages from a single dhtml menu script.


A: You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif

Please, try to use these parameters.


Q: Please tell me in very plan instructions how to load the dhtml menu slide on to a blank Front Page web page?


A: You should do the following things:

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

2. Export the menu into html file "File/Export/To HTML".

3. Copy generated folder with all engine .js files and images
("deluxe-menu.files/" by default) and data-deluxe-menu.js (by default) into the same folder with you index.html page (created inFrontPage).

4. Now you should add several rows of code into your index.html file.
You can do it in FrontPage (open HTML source of the page and edit it)
or in any text editor. Open your index.html page and edit it.

Notice that you'll have errors in the Preview. But you won't get errors if you open this page in the browser.5. Add the following code in the tag:
