Q: I have setup some tabs on a site that I am designing and for some reason when i click on a tab and it links to another page it automatically highlights the first tab in the row.
  I have triedfiddling with it and have not been able to figure it out.  Can someone point me in the right direction to have the correct tab selected in the css tab menu after i click it and goto the page.


A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.

You can also set it on every page before you call data.js file, forexample:

Q: We would need to programatically open a particular tab in the horizontal tab menu.

A: Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.

For example:

Q: I would like all my submenus of the html menu to appear in the same location on the page and not relative to the parent menu item.

A: You can do it using the following parameters:

  var subMenuAlign = "left"; - Horizontal alignment for submenus.

"pleft", "pcenter", "pright" - alignment relative to the parent submenu.

  var subMenuVAlign = "top"; - Submenus vertical alignment.

"ptop", "pcenter", "pbottom" - alignment relative to the parent submenu.



Q: My menu is working very well in IE 7.0, and almost very well in FF 2.0.

However, I do want the flash to hide under submenus, like it does in IE when I set   var dmObjectsCheck = 1;

My menu is beneath my flash.


A: If for some reasons a submenu can't drop down over an object the latter will be hidden for a time when the submenu is shown.

If you don't want to have such effect you should follow these steps.
