2.0 Buttons by Web-Buttons.com v3.0.0

Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • There can be multi level menus - create as many rows or columns of the menu as you want.
  • Use a mouse to drag a menu as a usual window. Also you can construct the menu where each submenu can be "detached" from the main menu (MSOfficeToolbarLike mode).
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The DHTML menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes.

Q: I also did not understand the difference between the "deluxe menu" and the "deluxe tree" software. Can you please send me a short description?

A: These are different menus.

Deluxe Tree is a tree view. Items in Deluxe Tree are expand/collapseon click.

Deluxe Menu is a cascade menu.

Q: I see that you have the demo of the menu working over a frame so that it displays over the lower frame, vertical top to bottom.
However I have played around with your demo and can't seem to replicate the same feature.
Could you please tell me what I have to set to make the easy dropdown menu float over the lower framed window?

A: To initialize the cross frame menu call dm_initFrame() function instead of standard dm_init() function within data.js file:

dm_initFrame(framesetID, mainFrameInd, subFrameInd, orientation);

framesetID - id attribute of the frameset;
mainFrameInd - index of the main frame (where the top-menu is placed), >=0;
subFrameInd - index of the subframe (where the submenus will be shown), >=0;
orientation - frame orientaion: 0 - top-to-bottom, 1 - left-to-right; 2 - bottom-to-top; 3 - right-to-left.

For example, for the following structure:

<frameset id="frmSet" rows="185,*">
<frame id="frame1" src="cross-frame-horizontal-1.htm">
<frame id="frame2" name="testlink.htm" scrolling="no">
</frameset>

the dm_initFrame() function call at the end of data.js file will look like:

dm_initFrame("frmSet", 0, 1, 0);

Q: We really like your deluxe menu product and are interested in making a multiple website license purchase.

In our current production environment, we build sites on a local machine (no domain) and move the files/sites to multiple servers depending on where the domain is being hosted.

Do we have to reconfigure the domain key each time we move deluxe menu related site files from the actual domain server to our local production environment and back again?

A: Notice your key will work on registered domain only. It won't work onlocal machine.

If you want to use the menu on the local production environment youshould buy Developer License.
The Developer license you can use the menu on an unlimited number of Internet or Intranet sites and on the local machines.
This version of the script doesn't check keys and it isn't bound to adomain name.

Q: I'm am try to use your Deluxe drop down menu generator and can not get it to work..

A: Unfortunately we don't have step by step tutorial yet.
We'll try to create it in the nearest time.

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

When you open Deluxe Tuner you can click "File/New"and add items and subitems using buttons "Add Item" and "Add Subitem" onthe main window.
You should set items and subitems parameters on the "Item Parameters"window.
See also other parameters for the menu on the main window.

More info about menu parameters you can find on our site
http://deluxe-menu.com/parameters-info.html
http://deluxe-menu.com/menu-items-info.html

You can also use Individual Styles for items and subitems
http://deluxe-menu.com/individual-item-styles-info.html
http://deluxe-menu.com/individual-submenu-styles-info.html

2. You should install the menu on your page.
You can click, for example, File/Export to HTML.

So, you'll have folder with all engine files and images("Deluxe-menu.files/" folder by default), Deluxe-menu.html file anddata-Deluxe-menu.js file with all menu parameters.

Open Deluxe-menu.html file in any text editor and copy several rows ofcode into your page (for example index.html page of your website).

Copy and paste several rows into your html page (index.html).

<tr><td><script type="text/javascript" src="Deluxe-menu.files/data-Deluxe-menu.js"></script></td></tr> //data-Deluxe-menu.js - data file

</body>

You should also copy "Deluxe-menu.files/" folder with all engine files
dmenu.js
dmenu4.js
dmenu_add.js
dmenu_dyn.js
dmenu_key.js
dmenu_cf.js
dmenu_popup.js
dmenu_ajax.js
dmenu_search.js
and data-Deluxe-menu.js file into the same folder with your index.html page.

Try that.
