Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.


A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.


Q: Do you have a menu that allows the sub-items to 'slide' out from the menu?
For example, you mouse-over the first button, and the sub menu slides from 'underneath' the button from left to right?


A: You should to use transitional effects.

Try to set
  var transition=6;
  var transOptions="";
  var transDuration=350;
  var transDuration2=200;

But notice that transitional effects are features of Internet Explorer5.5+ only.

Q: I would like to create navigation menu where the background is transparent until you move the mouse over itwhen it turns to a color. I erased the first color number from the list and that worked, but when I scrolled the mouse over the links, the background stayed light blue even though the mouse was no longer over them. Is there a way to let the background start transparent, turn light blue when the mouse is over it, then go back to transparent after the mouse is off it?

A: You can use transparent parameter, for example:
