  • There can be multi level menus - create as many rows or columns of the menu as you want.
  • Use a mouse to drag a menu as a usual window. Also you can construct the menu where each submenu can be "detached" from the main menu (MSOfficeToolbarLike mode).

Q: Hello. I had a question about the vista templates. Is it possible to extend the width on the java menu buttons to get more text in them? I put to much text and the button is repeating itself. Is there a way to extend the width of the button without the repeat?

A: See images in Vista Templates have the fixed width and height (92 x 21).

You can try to use the following parameter to use combinedbackground for your items, for example:

Q: I don't know anything about what JavaScript is all about...and I'm currently trying to get a menu that will float as I scroll down the page.
I saw the examples you have and I'd love to be able to do that on my website, but I don't understand the scripting that you have written there.
Like, what makes it float from this text...


A: If you want a floatable menu, you should set an absolute position forthe menu and paste the following code into your html page:

Paste the following code into <head> tag

<script type="text/javascript">  var dmWorkPath = "data.files/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="data.files/dmenu.js"></script>

Then set coordinates of top-left menu corner in the data .js file, forexample:

  var absolutePos=1;
  var posX=30;
  var posY=110;

Then set   var floatable=1.

The parameter floatable=1 makes a floatable menu.

Also you can change any of menu parameters inside data .js file.


Q: Where I, that the Submenue of my javascript menu vertical doesn't vanish so quickly, can put in. I want to fade it somewhat later.

A: Try to use the following parameter:  var transDuration = 500;



Q: Now I need to work out how to add multiple java menu examples to a page? Are you able to reference these separately - is this possible.

A: You can add as many java menu examples as you want on the one page.

You should call
