Q: I have started with the deluxe - looks a little more confusing, but I will persist.
Just to confirm that this is right for me.
1) Will deluxe load quickly?.
2) Will it work with most browsers? Or will user need to download some sort of java file?
3) Can I use it with dreamweaver?
A: 1) Deluxe Menu generally loads faster than other page elements.
It is possible that the speed of showing the menu can be lower if the menu is very large. But it doesn't take so much time.
2) Deluxe Menu works fine in most of browsers on Windows OS, MAC OS, Linux/Unix OS.

You don't have to install additional software.
Your customer should change security settings in IE to allow Javascript on pages he loads.
When your security settings in IE doesn't allow Javascript onpages you load you can't see a dynamic page content.
There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.
3) Deluxe Menu wasn't developed as Dreamweaver/Frontpage extension,BUT you can use it as standard Javascript files. To install the menuinto your html page:
1. open the page in Dreamweaver/Frontpage
2. open html source code of the page
3. add several rows of code (<script> tags), For info see:

Q: I use menu with color graphic buttons, I believe the color buttons locate in @BOOK1\@Test_BOOK1.files.
At this directory level(please look in Book1.zip), the display is OK,
However, if I click on "06) Introduction.to.Small-Signal.Amplifiers\<
>>(06_IT.htm)" to move to the next level, the color buttons will not display properly.
Can I set pointer that tells file 06_IT.htm that I have "@Test_BOOK1.files" in "@BOOK1" folder?
A: You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:
var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";
These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:
var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";
var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];
So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html
Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif
Please, try to use these parameters.
Q: I would like, that not only the text is represented differently when dhtml nav menu item is expanded, also the Icon separates before it at the side where I am.
iconarrs.gif is not right
iconarrs_aktiv.gif is right
How do I solve that?

Q: We are using a licenced version of your tree-menu.
Now we have a situation, where we should show the actualclicked menu position with an icon or a color for a collapse tree menu.
A: This can be found with the help of external function of tree menu.
dtreet_ext_userClick(itID, event) - this function is called when clicking a mouse button on the item.
itID - item id
event - standard structure of events generated browser
dtreet_ext_getItemParams (menuInd, itemID) - returns all item parameters.
