Q: I think I am almost there.
I would like to know a couple of things.

Why the menu does not float?
Why I cannot centre the menu?


A: When you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use
  var absolutePos = 0;
and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
  var absolutePos = 1;


Q: I am using a licensed copy of Deluxe Menu and am extremelyhappy with the dhtml mouseover menu and the functionalities provided. Great Work!!

I wanted to know how to hide/ disable a dhtml mouseover menu item for a particular user/roleid in .ASP.Net1.1

You can try to use API functions in that case:

function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)

To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".

You can try to use the following function

function disable() {
dm_ext_changeItem(0, 1, 1, ["", "", "", "", "", "_"]);
}
to disable your dhtml mouseover menu items.



Q: I'm using onclick tabs and want to ask if it's possible to change the the z-index id?

A: To change z-index in Deluxe Tabs you should open dtabs.js file in anytext editor and find the following text "  var TLJ=2000;".
Here you should change the value.



Q: Could I create a function that displays thetab that the user clicked in the left tab menu.
These tabs are all within the same window, sothe page will always be the same.
Just need a function to make differenttabs appear.

A: Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.
