  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: I'm trying to find a decent, simple, working example of a dynamically-generated DHTML Pop-up Window. Using the "Deluxe Tuner" to generate static files is unacceptable for our use. We must create pop-up menus on the fly.

I tried piecing together a working pop-up window application, but kept getting "Error! Skin Load!" and couldn't figure out what files or where to get them (or put them) for the Windows Vista Graphite skin.



A: Create a new project, choose the Windows Vista Graphite Style for it.
Save your project. Use in your html file this function to open a window for your link :

Q: I have noticed on your menus that have multiple nodes, you areallowing only the icon to be clicked and expand the tree. How would I alter the code so that when a user clicks anywhere on the tree with multiple nodes, the entire tree expands instead of the user having to be so precise in selecting the tiny icon to expand the tree.


A: You should set the following parameter to expand item on a mouseclick:

  var texpandItemClick=1;


Q: I would like to know how to define separator on itemstyle or how to show separator on menu items.

A: You should set a separator in the menuItems, for example:

Q: I need to be able to highlight the selected menu item of the sliding drop down menu.

A: Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
