Q: I need a way to change tabs with buttons AFTER THE PAGE IS RENDERED. This means bselecteditem is useless to me at this point.

I want to have a button called NEXT on TAB 1, and when you press that button, it switches you to TAB 2. Likewise on TAB 2 I want to have a button called NEXT that when pressed will switch you to TAB 3.

I don't want to have to post back to the server to make this work, I want a way of Javascript to change the tab indexes.

How can I do this?

A: Try to use the following function:

LTb0(menuN,itemN);

menuN - menu ID, starts with 0
itemN - item ID, starts with 0

Q: I have set up the dhtml menu javascript at this site. I have chosen to use the transitional filter from IE6. The main menus and sub menus work fine in IE but in Firefox the sub menus do not appear at all. Is their a fix for this. I realize that firefox does not support IE transitions but Ithought the sub menus would appear when the main item is clicked on. that hs not happened. Go to above URL and vie in both IE and Firefox and you will see what I mean.

A: You couldn't see submenus in FF because you had

  var transparency="";

You should set your parameters in the following way:

  var transparency="100";
  var itemBackColor=["#072450",""];

Q: I've tried to change the width of the images within the Deluxe Tuner program to do so. Can you please tell me where to find the configuration within the program?
Thanks again for your help.

A: You can't change images in Deluxe Tuner. You should do it in anygraphics editor, for example in CorelDraw or PhotoShop.

Q: Compliments on your product, I particularly enjoy the complete set of gui and java, that allows for the quick changes.

After a couple of months of using the trial, I have now purchased it and installed the license.

My question however regards the performance of the menu. Using firebug I note that my deluxe menu .js are the performance bottlenecks, It appears as if they are not being cached and it appears that collecting them is taking longer then the other .js files. What can I do to optimize the load time of the javascript multi level menu and prevent, reloading it from the server with every page reload. The apache has set the expiry correct I believe, as I understand from the header.

A: You can try to use AJAX technology.

AJAX-like technology: data for submenus can be loaded "on-the-fly" from the server.

New parameter:
  var tajax = 0/1; - disables/enables AJAX-like support

Current syntax for item parameters (  var tmenuItems):
[text, link, iconNormal, iconOver, iconExpanded, tip, target, itemStyleInd, itemXPStyleInd, jsFileName]

Where jsFileName - .js filename on the server with submenu items (  var tmenuItems).
