  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: I'm trying to shrink the vertical size of the sub-menu entries in my menu:

I think I've specified all the parameters correctly in data.js, but itТs hard to tell what affects the height of the submenu entries. Even reducing the type from 10pt to 8pt didnТt shrink them at all.


A: See, you set the following parameter:

  var itemPadding = 7;

That is why you have such a big padding around the items.

If you don't want to change the appearance of the main items youshould create Individual Style for the subitems. For example:

  var menuStyles = [
["itemPadding=2px"],
];

And assign this style for the first item in submenu.


Q: I would like to setup a menu that is Horizontal at level 1,Horizontal at level 2, then vertical from then on. Can your system handle this?  Even if I need to manuallytweak something that would be fine.

A: Unfortunately, the menu can't do that. You can only set theorientation for the top-menu and its submenus.

Q: Can I use a menu java scrip Item for text and get the text to wrap within a predefined menuWidth?

A: You should set the following menu java scrip parameter:

  var noWrap = 0;

or use <br> tags within menuItems.



Q: Does your cool dhtml menu work on a Mac platform with Dreamweaver?

A: To create your cool dhtml menu on MAC you can use HTML version of Deluxe Tuner (for MAC OS). You can find it here:

1. open the page in your program
2. open html source code of the page
