Q: I just purchased your multiple site bundle and have a menu question.

I need to create a menu for a site that has the top level menu have no border but I want any of the sub menu popups to have a border around them (or a different background color for the menu area for the popup). I can not see a way to do this? If a put a menu border on it appears on both the top level and any submenu popups.


A: You should use Individual Item Styles.

You should set the following parameters:

1)   var menuBorderWidth=0;
2) Create Submenu Style

  var menuStyles = [

];
You can do it in Deluxe Tuner. Click "Edit Individual Styles" and thenchoose "Submenu Styles" tab.

3) Assign Individual Style for your submenus.
You can assign them only for the first item in each submenu.

Q: Hello, I am trying to figure out how to use the Dynamic functionality in the java menu codes. I believe I want to use something like the dm_ext_changeItemVisibility function, and I want it to be dependent on HTML wrapped around the menu item.

Below is functionally how I want it to work:

Show menu item 1
Show menu item 2

Show menu item 3

Show menu item 4

Is there an example you can share that does something like this? I searched the site and could not find an answer.

and

You can call these function via javascript depending on your conditions.



Q: Javascript menu software copyright info is not accepted by Firefox..

Q: When I roll my mouse over my menu, it appears halfway down the page, not next to the menu. This only happens when I enclose the code in <div></div> layers. Is there a way to fix this?


A: It is possible that you have some problems with your css.

The problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add <DIV id=SiteMenu>

to the

style="position:absolute;"

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=SiteMenu style="position:absolute;">

Check that.
