Q: We've used your deluxe menu on a few sites without any issues. We are trying a new site javascript menu system now and having an issue with beforeItemImage and afterItemImage. Below is our data javascript class. The dropdown seems fine in Firefox but the before and after Images are not showing up in Internet Explorer.

We've tried a number of things and can't quite get the tabbed corners in IE. Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated, we need to get this menu live soon for a client of ours. Thank you in advance.

A: Try to specify width and height parameters:

We've checked your page in IE6, IE7, IE8. All images displayed correctly.

Q: I've browsed your product, and I'm trying to determine if there is an existing template that would support a vertical flyout menu, where the static menu is one button, but when clicked on, it lays out 5 additional buttons in a straight line horizontally to the right of the static button. Is this feasible to create with your product with relative ease, and if so, what's the easiest way?

Q: Is there a property in the data.js file - or any other file - where the pulldown menu can be hidden initially until needed?

A: You can hide the menu onload
document.getElementById('dm0m0').style.visibility = "hidden";

And then show the menu when your user will be validated.


Q: Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to disable the dhtml pull down menu links on a page. (I am creating a site where, in a certain mode, the page is in preview and I don't want the links to work).

Is this possible?

I can run this function across my other <A> tags (which sets them all to the current page), but it doesn't reach into the deluxe menu.

A: To disable your dhtml pull down menu items you should set the following parameter to disable all items:

  var itemTarget="_";

Or you can disable items individually.
