Q: The only remaining problem I see is that the html popup menu appears in slightly different positions depending upon where your mouse touches the icon.

Is there a way to make the menu position absolute in respect to the icon? I have tried playing with the menu item parameters that seemed related with no success.

A: See dm_popup() function parameters:

return dm_popup(menuInd, pause, event, x, y)
menuInd - index of the menu on a page, >= 0.
pause - determines the time when the html popup menu will be hidden.
event - constant. Do not change.
x, y - optional. Set these parameters if you want the menu to appear in the specified place.
In other case the menu will be shown in the mouse position.

Q: I can display time in 12 or 24 hour format in the dhtml date picker- however for the selection it only allows 24 hour format.

A: Try to specify date format in the following way:

%L %d, %Y, %l, %I:%M %p

So, you'll have: January 14, 2009, Jan, 03:50 pm



Q: Hello, I am interesting in purchasing your product, but first I need to know if it is possible to call a JavaScript function from the menu.  I have read the FAQ and noted where it lists that you can perform an alert call, and that worked on my end as well, but when I attempted to call a function I created I could not get it to respond.  Is it possible to call a function from your menu?  Could I get an example?


A: You can write your own functions within menuItems, for example:

Q: I place all of my files in folders.  If I want the Deluxe menu to work I have to have the Deluxe menu saved in each folder for it to work with the files inside those folders. 


A: There is no need to copy al files for the menu in each folder.

To install the menu you can use such paths:

You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif
