Q: I need to include background images for my navigation, so I put them in the same folder where the "data.js" file can be found. I am using the deluxe tuner in order to call these files and it looks great in the preview. As soon as I save the file and load it in the browser, the background images are missing.
Your solution refers to creating absolute paths using
var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
I have implemented this solution but I still think the problem persists.
A: Now you set pathPrefix parameter:
var pathPrefix_img = "http://www.domain/folder/menudir/dataAlumni.files/";
And you have such images paths, for example:
var arrowImageSub=["dataAlumni.files/submenuIconOff.gif","dataAlumni.files/submenuIconOn.gif"];
So you have such paths for arrows:
http://www.domain/folder/menudir/dataAlumni.files/dataAlumni.files/submenuIconOff.gif
It is not right.
You should write your paths so:
var arrowImageSub=["submenuIconOff.gif","submenuIconOn.gif"];
Please, correct it.
Q: I have 2 questions about this script I would like to find out before purchasing:
1. Does it support 3rd and 4th level java script navigation menu?
2. How customizable is it style-wise, meaning, I have images I want used for the top level navigation, and background images for the rest. Any way I can achieve this?
A: 1) Yes, you can add as many levels in the java script navigation menu as you want.
2) Actually you can create any java script navigation menu with Deluxe Menu. You can use Individual Styles tocreate your menu. For example:

Please, try the trial version and check menu parameters. Use DeluxeTuner to create your menu.
Q: Is it possible to use an external file with these applets? Have tried

Any suggestions? I have one site with many pages, it would be handy not to have to change 20 pages just to modify one link.
A: You can use "menuItemsFile" param, example
<param name="menuItemsFile" value="menu1.txt">
The menu menu items are in menu1.txt, so you'll need to changeonly this menu1.txt if it necessary to add/remove/change items.
