Q: How do I make the top nav buttons exactly the same width for each button?

Total menu width is 743px and I have 6 buttons I want the width of each button to be fixed at 123px.

I set   var menuWidth="743" but it averages out the buttons based on the text.


A: You should use individual item styles. For example:

Q: Is there a way to programmatically specify which tab is selected in the drop down menu using javascript?

What I mean is, I want to set the selected tab programmatically (Not clicking the tab).

A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.

If your site is written on PHP you can set "bselectedItem" and "varbselectedSmItem" parameters based on your link beforeyou call your data file.

For example, move "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.

Q: If i use windows tree menu and published on my web site it is default all menu and submenu are opened .
I want that all html tree menu is default closed if user click on main menu it will be opened submenu.
Please wich parameters i have to change.

A: You should set the following parameter:

  var texpanded=0;

Check also that you don't have '+' sign before item's text in the top items, for example:

Q: For any reason dropdown menu in javascript know shows incorrect accented characters.

A: You can save your data file in UTF-8 in Windows version of DeluxeTuner v3.2.7.

You should turn on "Tools/Use utf8 encode" property.
In that case your data file will be saved in UTF-8 encode.

Enter these symbols and save your data file.

If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manuallychange your letters in any text editor.

You can also replace your letters with special sets, for example
&Eacute; - Capital E, acute accent - E
&ccedil; - Small c, cedilla - c
