  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.

Q: The spacing between each item of the top horizontal dropdown menu is uneven but I don't know why.

If you highlight them all it becomes more obvious.

It is almost as if the space after a 2 word link is twice the space after a one word link or else the total space after each link is related to the number of letters in the link.

For example the space after 'Discounts' is greater than the space after 'Home' but the space after 'Envelope Printing' is even greater.

A: You can try to set the following horizontal dropdown menu parameters:

Q: After creating and using a menu, is it possible to insert/change the position of a menu item?

For instance, I am using years in a submenu and the current year always needs to be at the top.

Is this possible with drag and drop or by some other means in the Tuner v2?


A: Yes you can do it.

To select a group of items you can use Shift and Ctrl keys.

To rename an item click on it and hold a mouse cursor for a second. Or use item parameters window.

To move items select items you want and use a mouse drag'n'drop method.

To copy items select those you want and use a mouse drag'n'drop method holding a Ctrl key.Also you can use a contextual menu - a right mouse click on the list of items.


Q: How do I apply styles to submenu items that are different from the styles of top javascript drop down menu items? For instance, I want to know how to apply background images for the submenus, but not for the menu items. I also want borders around the submenu ITEMS, not just the entire submenu. Here is the link to my page with the menus. The menu I am referring to is the top right hand menu (black with grey).

A: Create Individual Item and Submenu styles and assign it to your submenu items.

Assign Individual Items style to all submenu items and Individual Submenu Style for the first item in each submenu.

Q: I have setup some tabs on a site that I am designing and for some reason when I click on a drop down menu links tab and it links to another page it automatically highlights the first tab in the row. I have tried fiddling with it and have not been able to figure it out. Can someone point me in the right direction to have the correct tab selected after i click it and goto the page.

A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected drop down menu links tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" drop down menu links parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.

You can also set it on every page before you call data.js file, forexample:
