Q: I'm trying deluxe-menu, but when I'm making my own menu, I often get error messages.
It will not work. I get these messages when I use individual styles.It is a very nice program, but I think with a few bugs.


A: You have errors in your data file.

In this items you assigned menu styles, but there is no menu style in your parameters. You have only item style.
You should write them so:

Q: I have one more question before I purchase a license: is there a way to use images instead of text as the javascript menu object items?

A: Yes, you can create image-based menu.

If item text is empty, icon fields will be used as item images.
For example:
["", "index.html", "itemImageNormal.gif", "itemImageOver.gif", "Home Page"]

Q: My Submenu is faded too quickly if I pull the mouse away from the java drop down menu.

A: You can try to use Deluxe Menu - this is a newer version of DHTMLMenu. You can use the following parameters there:

  var smHidePause=5000;



Q: Is there a way I can do an include of a separate file that would contain the

       var menuItems = [];


A: You can delete   var menuItems = []; and dm_init(); from your data.jsfile and paste it into your html page or in the other file.

You should call at first data.js file with the parameters and thanmenuItems = []; and dm_init();.
