  • Use a mouse to move a menu as a usual window. Also you can create the menu where each submenu can be "separated" from the menu (MS Office toolbar-like mode).
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes.

Q: I am trying to have the selected top menu w dhtml item remain on the mouseover event after it is selected. It seemed to be working fine when i was just testing with # as a link but when i actually linked to different pages it returns to normal. How do i get this to work.

I tried removing the variable from the data file and calling it using
<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2">   var pressedItem=set 1,2,3 depending on page </script>
but this does not seem to work as it does for tabs.

Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.



Q: If you look at my page in IE 7, the position of the submenus is too far over to the left from drop down menu. It is fine in Firefox.
Do you have any suggestions on this??


A: Try to set exact width for the menu:

  var menuWidth="600px";


Q: Hello, I am interesting in purchasing your product, but first I need to know if it is possible to call a JavaScript function from the menu.  I have read the FAQ and noted where it lists that you can perform an alert call, and that worked on my end as well, but when I attempted to call a function I created I could not get it to respond.  Is it possible to call a function from your menu?  Could I get an example?


A: You can write your own functions within menuItems, for example:

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner application.
You can create any menu as you like in Deluxe Tuner.

You can use ready to use templates. I'm sending you package with all
templates. Just open data file in Deluxe Tuner.

Add items and subitems using buttons "Add Item" and "Add Subitem" onthe main window.
You should set items and subitems parameters on the "Item Parameters"window.
