Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.

Q: I cannot see the shadow on the top items of the menu. Can you help me?


A: Now you have shadow the submenus only, if you want to have shadowfor the top items you should set the following parameters:

You can see the shadow in Internet Explorer 5+ only.

Q: I want to have the pop up window display as you mouse over an image/link - is this possible?

A: For example you want to open a popup onMouseover, onClick or
onMouseout on a link.

So, you should create a link on your page and set id="" for it, forexample:

<a href="javascript:;" id="link">Open popup OnClick</a>
<a href="javascript:;" id="over">Open popup OnMouseover</a>
<a href="javascript:;" id="out">Open popup OnMouseOut</a>

In Deluxe Tuner you should set:
onMouseOver - over
onMouseOut - out
onClick - link

So you'll have

deluxePopupWindow.attachToEvent(win,',,onClick=link,onMouseOver=over,onMouseOut=out,')



Q: I like your product a lot. These are the features that, unfortunately, cannot be done and hope that you can address them. I will place the order right away if these are resolved:
1. For each individual item, allow attaching a customized javascript to fire up "onclick" and "nomouseover".

2. Allow using a variable size icon for each item.


A: 1. You're able to use Javascript for each item, for example:

  var tmenuitems = [
["item text", "javascript:your_code_here"]
];

Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects withinitems, for example:

  var tmenuitems = [
["<div onmouseover='your_code_here'>item text</div>", "index.html"]
];

2. DHTML Tree Menu uses constant icon size for all icons.
If you wantto use different icon dimensions, you can use standard <img>elements within items:

  var tmenuitems = [
["<img src='icon.gif' width=10 height=10>item text", "index.html"]
];


Q: Can I create a pop up using javascript that fly's out after 10 seconds.

Please advise.

A: Create popup window and set openAfter=10 parameter to it.
