A: You can use "menuItemsFile" param, example
<param name="menuItemsFile" value="menu1.txt">
The menu menu items are in menu1.txt, so you'll need to changeonly this menu1.txt if it necessary to add/remove/change items.

A: You can try to specify spacing parameter:
var itemSpacing=1;
You can also try to use separators.
You should add separator between menu items:

Q: I am in the process of setting up a new html menu bar, but seem to be having trouble getting it to work via Internet Explorer 8.0.
Instead of making drop-downs, it only makes little symbols. However, it works fine via Firefox.
A: Try to use v3.3. It is compatible with IE8.
