But my html files still opens in a new window.


A: Please, check the following parameters:
  var itemTarget="_self"; //default target

You can set target parameter for each item.

See menuItems parameter:

Q: There seems to be a "glitch" when I use Firefox.
I have rebuilt the page twice but I always end up with themenu floating to the left, instead of under the main menu (the second or third mouseover will correct the issue). Also, sometimes I have to mouseover twice before the submenu comes up (in I.E.).

I have validated...however I wondered if there could be a conflict in the javascripting (yours and mine). Any suggestions?


A: The reason is in your <!DOCTYPE>.

Try to specify units in "px".

It's necessary to specify exact value for Mozilla browsers. It helpsto position menus correctly.

You can also try to set the following parameter:
  var dm_writeAll=1;


Q: I found some strange things while positioning the javascript hide menu. Does javascript hide menu behave different depending on where you are hosting your site?

A: Deluxe Menu is a Javascript product. It means that it works on aclient side only and it doesn't depend on the server which you're using.

Q: I am trying to figure out how to specify the css for the top css dropdown menu.

I saw this in some of the example code, but there was nothing similar in Deluxe Tuner

The following code is Individual Styles. You can edit them in DeluxeTuner.

Open your data file, click "Edit Individual Styles..." button on themain window. And create individual item style and individual submenustyle. Then you should assign these styles to your items.
