Q: I purchased the full package for the application. Great job!
I have no questions about generating and/or customizing DHTML menues - it's pretty straight forwards.
I am trying to find out how to generate and customize POPUP WINDOWS.
A: To assign popup windows for links on your page do the following:
1) Open your page (for example index.html page) in any text editor.
Add link in the place where you want to have it and specify the ID (for example: win1) for it, for example:
<a href="javascript:;" id="win1">Click Here to see a window</a>
Change parameters of windows in data files, for example popup-window-XP.js.
Open it in any text editor.
2) Add your content.
You can use HTML content, Iframe (url) or any object on your page as popup windows content - Object ID.
For example select HTML content (winContent parameter in the 'Common' section), for example:
<div style="text-align:center;"><b>Sample content</b></div>
This is a simple HTML code for content. Here you may also set link to content page or ID of some element.
3) In the 'Actions' section specify the id of your link (win1) for the onClick event.
4) For example: open the popup-window-XP.html file in any text editor.
Copy all code for Popup window and paste it in the beginning of the <body> tag:

5) Copy 'popup-window-XP.files/' folder and popup-window-XP.js file into the samefolder with your index.html (root folder of your website).
Q: That is what I need:
a) I build a menu with an item like this:
["||"Product1","http://127.0.0.1/product1.htm","","","",,"0",],
b) when I select that item, I need that page product1.htm loads into an iFrame.
Can I do this?
A: You should set the Iframe name as the target value in the menuItems.
You should also set the following parameter:
var itemTarget = "";
Q: Would it work to put the javascript command in the dhtml context menu Link entry so that when a person clicks on the menu item, he navigates to the webpage specified in the onclick?
A: Actually you can use your own Javascript code instead standard links and html code inside item text. For example:
var tmenuItems = [
["text", "javascript:window.location.href=myvalue"]
];
or
var tmenuitems = [
["Table of Contents
", ""]
];
Q: I have a issue involving the location of the files.
What is the correct method of referencing the webroot (document root) in the deluxe tuner?
I ask because I have some pages that are in a sub folder on the server.
eg. index page is http://www.domain.com/index.html
but another page might be at
http://www.domain.com/somedir/somepage.html
And then the references do not work.
Currently I am editing the data.js file after saving it in deluxe tuner.
A: If you want to use relative paths you should write your links in thefollowing way.
If you have, for example such file structure:
deluxe-menu_files/
dmenu.js
data.js
images/
html_pages/
page1.html
page2.html
index.html
So, you should write write all your paths concerning index.html file.
For example, you paths will be:
["HOME","html_pages/page1.html", , , , "_self", "-1", , , ],
["ABOUT US","html_pages/page2.html", , , , , , , , ],
Unfortunately, Deluxe Tuner can't do it automatically. You shouldcorrect your paths manually.
You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:
var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";
These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:
var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";
var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];
So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html
Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif
Please, try to use these parameters.
