A: I advise you to use Deluxe Tree, http://deluxe-tree.com/. This is a newer version of Dhtml TreeMenu.

You should use the following parameter:

Q: Do you have a menu that allows the sub-items to 'slide' out from the menu?
For example, you mouse-over the first button, and the sub menu slides from 'underneath' the button from left to right?


A: You should to use transitional effects.

Try to set
  var transition=6;
  var transOptions="";
  var transDuration=350;
  var transDuration2=200;

But notice that transitional effects are features of Internet Explorer5.5+ only.

Q: The menu is the table imbedded to the layer.

If you want to center the menu paste itwithin the <div>> or <table> with a static position and specify a center alignment for it, for example:

<div align=center>
<script src="data.js"></script>
</div>

Please, set exact value for   var menuWidth parameter, for example:

  var menuWidth = "500px";
This can help to align your menu correctly in all browsers.
Try also to specify units in "px".
Set also:
  var absolutePos = 0;

If you want to use absolute position for the menu, use varabsolutePos=1 instead of absolute position for div.


Q: Utilizing the drop down web menu under Internet Explorer 7, it gives me a popup of “To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restrictedthis webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for optons….

  Is there a way to bypass this popup and IE recognize it as a valid script?


A: Please, see security preferences: IE/Tool/Internet OptionsMake sure that Active content is enabled.
