Q: I am using cross frame menu dropdown. I have three frames: Top, Left and main (middle).

I am using the script and data from your sample file; it works fine. Only problem is submenu is offset to the right. It does not show up exactly down below the top menu.

What could be the problem?

A: Deluxe Menu doesn't work correctly (incorrect submenu position) if youhave complex frame structure.

The problem is in a structure of your frameset.
Mozilla browsers can't determine absolute coordinates for a frame, so submenus drop down with an offset.

You should create, for example, the following frameset structure:

--|------------
   | menu
--|------------
   |
   | submenus
   |

Now a top row has 2 columns and all browsers can determine a width of the 1st column in the second row.

You should write init function in the following way in that case:
dm_initFrame("mainframe",1,3,0);



Q: Can youtell me which transition is the regular traditional transition with no effects for the dhtml navigation?

A: You can use
  var transition=0;

if you don't want to use transition you should set:

  var transition=0;
  var transOptions="";
  var transDuration=0;
  var transDuration2=0;

Q: I have found (was it like this before??) that if I right-mouse-click over a menuitem then I do not see any option to open the URL in new window....

I do not get any options at all to open the URL in new window (or same window), in the browser context menu (both IE and Firefox).


A: No, Deluxe Menu doesn't have such a feature. This is only text, not alink. And we won't change it. Because now you're able to paste anyhtml code within menu item.

Q: Is it possible to dynamically generate new popup window"on the go"?
We want several popups to appear. We have tried to automagically assigna random name, but without success, the show() command kills the commands and just redirects.


A: You can do it in two ways:
1) Call different data files with DIFFERENT winID:"window1"!

2) Call only one data file and use deluxePopupWindow.open() function to open your windows:
