  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.
  • Create separators using your own pictures, size and alignment.

A: To add a separator you should

Q: I see you have a right click in expanding menu javascript, is this function available in Deluxe Menu?


A: Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick/onContextMenu event to each item.

However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within items, for example:

Q: How can I use Danish characters in my dhtml menu bars?

A: You should turn on "Tools/Use utf8 encode" property.
In that case your data file will be saved in UTF-8 encode. So, you
should set UTF-8 encode on your page too

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html"charset="UTF-8">

If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off
"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manually
change your letters in any text editor.



Q: I have downloaded the trial version and so far I really like what I see except for one issue. Any page that includes the following doctype:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

seems to break the absolute positioning of the menu and sends it to the far upper left corner of the page. Any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.


A: The problem is in <!DOCTYPE> attribute.

Please, set 'px' units for posX and posY parameters,for example:

  var posY="100px";
