Q: I've got an xp style menu that I'm trying to place within a table... Things are not rendering as I'd expect

I am trying to put the menu in the left column of the table, a form on the right side, and then center the entire table.
The html table is surrounded by a center tag (have tried a div tag with no difference).

It appears the xp menu is obeying the center tag, but not keeping it relative to the containing table...

How can I fix this issue? I have also attached the html source code as it is rendered in the browser in case that is of some use.

A: You should set the following parameter:

  var tabsolute = 0;

You're using absolute position for the menu now.



Q: I need to set individual itemtargets for a number of items in the navigation bar menu...

A: You can set target parameter for all items:

  var itemTarget="_blank";
or
  var itemTarget="main";

where main - is the name of the main frame where you want to open the link

or for each item individually:

Q: One other issue I am having if you don't mind helping. On my web site when I run the menu I get an Errors on page message with the following

When I run the site from my local PC with the menu, I don't get this error?
Could you possibly suggest why? I can't find anything on your site.


A: Try to check all you paths.
original setting:

changed to:

Try to specify units in "px".
  var tmenuWidth = "180px";
It's necessary to specify exact value for Mozilla browsers. It helpsto position menus correctly.

You should set this parameter:

Q: I am now running the newest version, all ok. A new client wants to have submenus openFor the left hand menu navigation that I purchased, can I choose what dhtml tree menus will be expanded or collapsed when the user first comes to the webpage for the first time?

For instance, right now, when the user first goes to the page ALL of the menus are collapsed. If I wanted the first and third tree menus to be expanded and the others to stay collapsed when a new user first went to the page, how would I accomplish that?

A: You can expand some items by default.
Add '+' sign before items text in that case:
