Q: Pls help me with another question.

I have an horizontal menu in which the submenus drop down (as in example # 1 you have in your web).

For the first level items (which are horizontal), I do not want item spacing or itemPadding, that is:
  var itemSpacing=0;
  var itemPadding=0;

However, for the second and third level menu items, that drop down, I do need spacing and padding, like this:
  var itemSpacing=1;
  var itemPadding=1;

How can achieve this if, we have only one set of parameters??

A: You should use Individual Styles.

You should set the following parameters:

  var itemSpacing = 0;
  var itemPadding = 0;

and create individual style for submenus
  var menuStyles = [

Q: Please tell me in very plan instructions how to load the dhtml menu slide on to a blank Front Page web page?


A: You should do the following things:

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

2. Export the menu into html file "File/Export/To HTML".

3. Copy generated folder with all engine .js files and images
("deluxe-menu.files/" by default) and data-deluxe-menu.js (by default) into the same folder with you index.html page (created inFrontPage).

4. Now you should add several rows of code into your index.html file.
You can do it in FrontPage (open HTML source of the page and edit it)
or in any text editor. Open your index.html page and edit it.

Notice that you'll have errors in the Preview. But you won't get errors if you open this page in the browser.5. Add the following code in the tag:

Q: We are experimenting with your library but can't seem to make it work. I am getting "d_ddm is undefined" in dmenu_popup.js menu script.

Could you tell me what we are doing wrong?

A: You should change

onClick="return dm_popup(1, 500, event);

to

onClick="return dm_popup(0, 500, event);

If you have only one menu on the page your menuInd = 0;

Q: We would like to use standard images for the main menue and add popup menues by using deluxe menue. The popups are triggered by hovering the cursor above the main menueimages and they should stay visible as long as the cursor is in the image.
If the cursor leaves the image, the popup should be closed unless it is in the popup menue.


A: See, you can use one Deluxe Menu (image-based) with images for the mainitems and submenus or you can use several pop up menus for each image.
