  • Use a mouse to move a menu as a usual window. Also you can create the menu where each submenu can be "separated" from the menu (MS Office toolbar-like mode).
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes.

Q: I've browsed your product, and I'm trying to determine if there is an existing template that would support a vertical flyout menu, where the static menu is one button, but when clicked on, it lays out 5 additional buttons in a straight line horizontally to the right of the static button. Is this feasible to create with your product with relative ease, and if so, what's the easiest way?

Q: Does your menu html javascript support Arabic language fonts?

A: Actually you can use any letters in the menu.
Please, check that you've set "Tools/Use utf8 encode".
When you save your data file in UTF8 you should use the same encoding on our html page.
So you should write:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manuallychange your letters in any text editor.


Q: I'm interesting in dhtml menue ability to display a different color word on a menu item when the site is on that selected page

A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover. We'll try to add the pressed state in the future.

You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem. You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.

Q: Is there any possibility to change the dynamic drop down menu?

A: You should use API functions.

dtreet_ext_changeItem (menuInd, itemID, itemParams)
