  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.

Q: Shouldn’t the dhtml expand menu know what page you are on and expand accordingly?
Or would you need to ‘hard code’ each page to be expanded basedon that page?

A: You should set the following parameter
  var ttoggleMode=1;

Deluxe Tree doesn't save a presseditem as it saves a tree state. It works within 1 page only and if youreload the page you should set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dtreet_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, itemID)

Q: I want to set links in a text, which opens html pop up window and not to open the Window on start.

A: You can specify the ID of the element you want to click on.
Actions sections in Deluxe Tuner, onClick parameter.

1) You can show the popup window when you hover, click or mouseout on some elements on yourpage.
For example you have:

So, in Deluxe Tuner you should enter 'open_popup' object ID in the onMouseOver,onClick or onMouseOut fields.

Actually you can assign id to any object on your page:
add id="open_popup" for <a>, <div>, <img> ... tags.

2) You can also use deluxePopupWindow.open() function to open the popups.

Use another winID (first parameter) than you have in your data file
if you don't want to close 1-st popup window or use thesame winID=win if you want to close 1-st popup.

content - will be the path to the file you want to load in your popup (files/test.html)
skin - is the name of your skin (default in my example)
contentType - set this parameter to iframe.

Q: I have another question.. after I successfully click and load the data in to my window using the mouseover tab, the tab defaults back to the original default tab.
Because I have to reload my page after the tab has been selected the tab chosen is lost. What do you recommend for "remembering" the tab so that when the page reloads the correct tab is highlighted. I know that I need to set the   var bselectedItem but if you have a "nifty" way for me to do that I am all ears.

A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab aslo.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

Q: I am using JavaScript Deluxe Menu v3.1 and have some problem with the doctype declaration. If I use the declaration:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

the menuBackImage and itemBackImage images do not display properly. Check with and without doctype declaration. Is there a known fix for this?

A: You should specify units in "px" for the javascript menu object.
