Q: The reason why I bought this javascript menu html was its ability to float. I have inserted the following data under Floatable Menu but my menu is fixed like a rock.

  var floatableY=1;

A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.


Q: Hello, I am trying out your dhtml menu and would like to load an iframe into one of the menus, how would I go about this?


A: If you want to insert <iframe> object inside a menu item you can do following things.

You can paste any html code into menu items, for example:

["item text <iframe src="link"></iframe>", link, ...]


Q: I have the following problem. I've set target parameter to "_self".
But my html files still opens in a new window.


A: Please, check the following parameters:
  var itemTarget="_self"; //default target

You can set target parameter for each item.

See menuItems parameter:

  var menuItems =
[
    ["Home","testlink.html","icon.gif","iconover.gif","Home Tip",target,"1"],
     ["|Our Products","testlink.html","icon1.gif","icon2.gif","Our Products Tip","_self",,"0"],
];

Try that.


Q: The submenu should look identical to the main menu but it is not allowing this.
Even though parameters are set to 0 it is showing smart scroll and also not showing the sub menus how they should be.
I also notice and error in the templates window view when I am looking at the javascript onmouseover menu.


A: You've set the exact width for your submenus:

  var smHeight="21px"; // it is the height of the whole submenu

It is not right.

Try to write:
  var smHeight="";

It is not correct. Try to set:

  var pressedItem="-2";
