A: You have one menu in your example, but you write:

function hide(vis) {
dm_ext_changeItemVisibility(1, 0, 2, vis);

That is mean that you want to hide item in the second drop down menu script.

You should write:

function hide(vis) {
dm_ext_changeItemVisibility(0, 0, 2, vis);



Q: How can I vary the width of the individual items (Home, Product Info etc) on the main menu bar?


A: I'm not sure I understand you. You want to use different width (exactwidth) for the main items?

You can use Individual Styles to set the width for the menu items.Please, use Deluxe Tuner to create your individual styles.

Q: Why don't any of the effects work in Firefox? I have built several different types of menus and they don't work the same in firefox as they do in IE. Is there a way to fix this? i.e. adding any html code or anything?


A: Yes, it is really so. Firefox supports only transparency of the menu.
Visual effects work in IE only. other browsers don't support them.

Can this be accomplished with this component?

A: 1) You can use API functions to affect items dynamically:

2) Generate your menu items dynamically from database.
Unfortunately we don't have working example with ASP.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:
