Q: Hello, I am interesting in purchasing your product, but first I need to know if it is possible to call a JavaScript function from the menu.  I have read the FAQ and noted where it lists that you can perform an alert call, and that worked on my end as well, but when I attempted to call a function I created I could not get it to respond.  Is it possible to call a function from your menu?  Could I get an example?


A: You can write your own functions within menuItems, for example:

Q: This is probably a really basic question, but I was wondering if
your dhtml menu maker makes it possible to determine the direction of the
drop down menu. In other words, my menu is at the bottom of the page
and I want the drop down list to actually go "up," not down.
Is that possible with your software?


A: Yes it is possible.

You should use the following parameter

  var subMenuVAlign="top"; //downward
  var subMenuVAlign="bottom"; //upward

  var subMenuAlign="left"; //from left to right
  var subMenuAlign="right"; //from right to left



Q: Is it possible to show a menu item in the simple navigation bar as selected by default to indicate what the current page is?


A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page.
That is why you should write your own code on PHP.

Q: Can you tell me if I can eliminate the transparent look of the dhtml rollover?
When the menu drops down over text, you can see the text.
What can Ido to fix it.
