Q: I have deluxe-menu 3.2.5 and now I can't open my old menu files. I get thefollowing error message in dhtml menu creator "Can't open the file:
H:\data-menu.js. Check youre encode parameter." I have tried to open several different menu files and I always get the same error message. Do you have any solution of this problem?

A: You should change Deluxe Tuner settings:

Try to turn off the encoding property "Tools/use utf8 encode" and open your datafile once again.



Q: We are an enterprise license holder and have recently purchased Deluxe Menu and are transitioning to it smoothly except for one minor annoyance; the first dhtml div menu item's submenu always has a gap between the browser’s left side as shown below. This happens for Internet Explorer 6, 7 and Firefox 2 and 3.04b.

If I move the menubar to the right about ten pixels, the submenu's left side will line up with the word "Search" as it should. Every other submenu on the dhtml div menu appears directly beneath its menubar item except for the very first one on the left. I’ve tried using a few of the example configurations but they all experience the same behavior.

The installation is in a multi-framed environment.

A: You should change dmenu.js file. Open it in any text editor and find:

space=15;

Change it to:

space=0;



Q: I have just purchased your menus and no matter where I place the code, the pull down menu in javascript always appears in the top left of the page, I need it elsewhere obviously but it simply won't move.. How do I do this?

A: You're using absolute position for the menu now. You should userelative position in that case. Change the following parameters:

  var absolutePos=0;
  var posX="0px";
  var posY="0px";
