Q: 1: For the deluxe-menu, can I keep a submenu shown even when my mouse pointer is NOT over the submenu anymore (besides the delay functions?) and hides only after a mouseclick somewhere (like the Microsoft menu of outlook)?

2: Is there a way to use the smartscrolling function (for a vertical menu) on the MAIN menu instead of only for the submenu's?


A: 1) Unfortunately, you can't do it.

Theoretically we can do scrolling in the main menu, but we think that it will be better touse multilevel menu in that case.

Q: I have a question:

The smHidePause = 1500

If hide is busy (during 1500), and I click somewhere else on the screen (empty place), I want the submenu to hide.

Can I make this happen?


A: Yes, you can do it.
You should use the following function to hide your submenus:

_dmsm(0);
where 0 - is index of the menu on a page >0.

Q: Is there a way to create a vertical menu in which the sub menus "fly out" to the left of the main menu?


A: Yes, it is possible.
To create vertical menu you should set

  var isHorizontal=0;

Why of showing submenu you can set so:

Q: You will see I got the first level looking amazing.. this is exactly what I wanted. The interesting thing I figured out was not to use the item border.. this was messing things up. You may notice that when each item highlights.. there is a 1px white line at the separators.. but this is not produced with the item border, but rather from the separator itself which I made in two 1 pixel lines, one blue, on white.. this created that effect.

So now my only problem left is to figure out how to bring this look into the submenus. I was thinking it would be nice to use the separators in the same way throughout the submenus. There does not however seem to be a way to do this. When I tried inserting a separator into a submenu.. nothing happened... I am probably doing this wrong.

Can you please show me how to create the same look I have in the first level in the submenus.. this would be helpful.

I must say, this menu is finally starting to look the way I originally envisioned it. I am very happy. =o)

A: To add separators in submenus you should write it so:

 ["|-",] //first level submenus
   ["||-",] //second level submenus
and so on.
