  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I am really confused by all of this. Perhaps I should state that I am computer savvy, however, I am not at all familiar with javascript or html. I was hoping to use the deluxe tuner to avoid having to deal with any of this.

I removed deluxe tuner and deluxe menu from my computer and reinstalled both. When I went to download the license key, I extracted the file from the ZIP file and replaced the files that were downloaded with the free version.

I am now ready to re-create my menu. It says to edit my data file. When I try to do that it will NOT open. It says my computer does not have the right program? What do I need?

Also, once I have created the menu in Deluxe tuner, where should I save it? In the folder where my website pages are saved? Again, I am using Yahoo sitebuilder, so I am not exactly sure where I should save it in these folders?

Furthermore, when I tried to save a file before I removed Deluxe tuner and reloaded it, It would ask me if I wanted to copy all my files? What is that and what is the purpose?

You should open your data file with the menu in any text editor andadd your reg. key.
Try that.

You can save your data file in any place and then copy to the rightplace.

If you click yes, Deluxe Tuner save also all engine .js files and allyour images into "data.files/" folder.

You can also click Export->To HTML.
So you'll have html page with your menu and folder with engine .jsfiles and images.

So you should to do the following things:
1. open your page in Yahoo's SiteBuilder
2. open generated with Deluxe Tuner html source code of the page i anytext editor
3. copy such lines from html source code

You should also copy "data.files/" folder in the right place. In thefolder where you have you index.html page, created in Yahoo'sSiteBuilder.


Q: I am evaluating your fine menu builder application.

Please let me know the following:

a) How could I call a script instead of specifying a link?

b) If the above is possible, please let me know how, in the called script, I could know where the call to the script come from.


A: You can use your own javascript functions in the menu items.

You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

Q: I need to set individual itemtargets for a number of menu script items......

example:-

menuitem_1 targets the Main frame..

menuitem_2 ..

A: You can set target parameter for all items:
  var itemTarget="_blank";
or
  var itemTarget="main";

Where main - is the name of the main frame where you want to open the link.

or for each item individually:

Q: My site requires me to regularly update the menu by inserting a new menu item at the top of the list. Creating a sub-item automatically places it at the bottom and I haven't yet found a way to move java animated menu items to the top apart from manually editing the data.js file.

A: You should use new engine files v3.2.5 and add items using thefollowing function:

function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

Adds the new item to a submenu.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0. See more info about indexes here.
iParams = [array] - the array of item parameters. This parameter has the same structure as an item in menuItems array. You can assign parameters of another existent item of the menu (for example, when you want to create a duplicate of the existent item) or create new ones.

Structure of iParams:
[item_text, link, icon_normal, icon_over, tip, target, individual_style_index, jsFilename]
Pos - the position in the menu where you want to add new item.
