Q: My site requires me to regularly update the drop down menu by inserting a new item at the top of the list.


A: Add items using the following function:

function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

Adds the new item to a submenu.

menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.

iParams = [array] - the array of item parameters.
This parameter has the same structure as an item in menuItems array.
You can assign parameters of another existent item of the menu
(for example, when you want to create a duplicate of the existent item) or create new ones.

Structure of iParams:
[item_text, link, icon_normal, icon_over, tip, target, individual_style_index, jsFilename]
Pos - the position in the menu where you want to add new item.

Q: Javascript menu frame Borders are present Firefox but missing in IE7, IE8, Google Chrome, Safari.

Firefox shows the borders ok.

A: You've set the following parameters in this menu:
  var menuBorderColor="#FF9191 #FF7837 #E10000 #952D00 ";
  var menuBorderWidth=3;
  var menuBorderStyle="";

You should specify style for your border, for example:
  var menuBorderStyle="solid";

See the attached example. I cannot notice such issue on Safari forWin. Write what version you're using.

Change also
  var fontStyle=["normal 8pt Verdana,normal 8pt Verdana","normal 8pt Verdana,normal 8pt Verdana"];
to
  var fontStyle=["normal 8pt Verdana","normal 8pt Verdana"];

Q: Why do I get the "Incorrect Copyright" message in Internet Explorer 7. I am using Deluxe Menu version 1.14. Shouldn't this support IE5+, including IE7?

Deluxe Menu v1.14 works with "Incorrect Copyright" message in IE7. Youshould upgrade to Deluxe Menu v2.0.
The upgrade is free for existing customers.

Q: I have a Deluxe Menu Multiple Website License and have been using it in several projects where it is running without problems. But now in my new project the sub menu won't drop down in the content frame, but will appear in the same frame as the main menu. What's wrong?

A: It seems that you open the submenu in the wrong frame.

Set ID for the first frameset:
<FRAMESET id=frmSet rows=220,*>
<FRAME id=frame1 src="Deluxe Menu Samples_files/cross-frame-horizontal-1.htm"> //menu frame
<FRAME id=frame2 name=frame2 src="Deluxe Menu Samples_files/testlink.htm"> //content frame

Then you should open your data file in any text editor and change
dm_init(); to dm_initFrame("frmSet", 0, 1, 0);
