  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I'm still having the issue with the sub-menus not being in the proper place, however I was able to fix the issue with menu now showing up in IE at all, it turns out I forgot a tag. So do you know why the sub-menu alignment changes depending on the browser window size? Either of the links below should give an example.


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your

css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add style="position:absolute;"

to the

<DIV id=navholder>

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=navholder style="position:absolute;">


Q: it's possible to use on every Item the OnMouseOver / OnMouseOut event?

move the mouse over a Menu !!!!!!


A: Each menu items can include any html code.
So, you can include your own objects with onmouseover event, forexample:

Where yourFunc() is Javascript function.


Q: I have seen a certain menu effect on a few websites and have so far been unable to reproduce it in simply HTML/CSS. Today I saw the effect on a website, looked at the source code and it appears they are using some of your code.

I have a fairly typical screen layout with a menu bar on the left hand 10% of the screen and the main screen content on the right 90%. Some of my screens get very long, so that when you scroll all the way down to the bottom, the menu is left way up off screen. I would like the menu block to move down so that it is always a certain number of pixels below the top of the viewed screen, not the absolute top of the page. Is this something your software does? If so, which one of your products?


A: You can create such menu with Deluxe Menu.
You should use floatable menu, so you can always see the menu.
But to use the floatable feature

you should use the absolute position for the menu

Q: On the left menuline under the a1 link, shall appear the javascript menu div, but after several refreshes, nothing happens.
On the local computer, the javascript menu div is working perfectly!

A: You've placed the javascript menu div in

<TD class=sidebar vAlign=top width=160>

tag with the following styles:

DISPLAY: none! important
}

DISPLAY: none
}
.sidebar TABLE TR TD {
DISPLAY: none}

That's why you cannot see the javascript menu div. Delete "DISPLAY: none" propertyfrom the style.
