  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I am spending a lot more time and have figured a few things out. One more question please: How do I specify the target link I want a dhtml submenu to go to?

I see HREF specified in the code, but no where in the program to specify it.


A: See, the following parameter sets target for all items

  var itemTarget="_self";

If you want to set different target for each item you should set it inthe "Item Parameters" window. Choose your item in the main window andset target in the target field.


Q: We are in the stage of design, we have a requirement to have the right click drop down menu fly out from right to left.

A: The following parameter controls the ways of showing submenus:

From left to right:

  var subMenuAlign="left";
  var subMenuVAlign="top";

From left to right + upwards:

  var subMenuAlign="left";
  var subMenuVAlign="bottom";

From right to left:

  var subMenuAlign="right";
  var subMenuVAlign="top";

From right to left + upwards:

  var subMenuAlign="right";
  var subMenuVAlign="bottom";

Q: I have another question regarding the popup window. I need to use an iframe within the popup window. Is there any way I can close the dhtml popup from the page loaded within the iframe?

A: You can close the popup using the following function:
document.getElementById('win').hide();

Unfortunately it won't work if you use iframe as window content.
You open another page in the popup (in Iframe) so you cannot accessdocument.getElementById('win').hide();
element which is situated on the first page.

When you use text or object_id as window content the content of the popup will be situatedon the same page so you can access document.getElementById('win') element and hide it.

There is a workaround.
Use text as content type and add the following code inside popup:

<a onclick="document.getElementById('win').hide();">...</a> <iframe></iframe>

Your link will work in that case.

Q: I bought the product Deluxe Menu & Tree & Tabs and I need support. How I make to insert a code java in the event on click of the button "Ok", when this button is in tree dhtml menu bar? For example, it sees the figure in annex. The button "ok" it validates login and the password of the user, through the database.

I live in Brazil. Exists some support in Portuguese?

A: No, unfortunately we support in English only.

You are able to paste any html code within items.

For example:
