Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! You can also define width and height for each submenu.

Q: I am having some trouble placing the menu drop down vertical in frontpage. Does your company have a toll free number and some kind of tech support for the frontpage material. We are very interested in your program.


A: Unfortunately, we don't provide support by phone, e-mail only.

See, you should do the following things.

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.
2. Export the menu into html file "File/Export/To HTML".
3. Copy generated folder with all engine .js files and images
("deluxe-menu.files/" by default) and data-deluxe-menu.js (by default) into the same folder with you index.html page (created inFrontPage).
4. Now you should add several rows of code into your index.html file.
You can do it in FrontPage (open HTML source of the page and edit it)or in any text editor. Open your index.html page and edit it.
Notice that you'll have errors in the Preview. But you won't get errors if you open this page in the browser.
5. Add the following code in the tag:

Q: I'm trying to get the scrolling menu to display upwards, but the items are displaying downwards.


A: You should set the following parameters in your data.js file:

  var subMenuAlign="left";
  var subMenuVAlign="bottom";



Q: Does your product generate the page code or is t a dll I have to use? Reason I ask is because we store our menu stuff with image references in a db. If your product outputs code for the menu, then I can use that and in my own code I can place/substitute values and work with it from there.

A: We have an .exe file - Deluxe tuner.
It generates .js files with menu parameters.
You can also export your menu to .html file.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so, you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: I have two question for now...

Where can I change the word "loading" during ajax is loading the submenu?????
Is state saving of javascript based tree just for the first level??? Does it works for the AJAX submenus?

The reason why I switch to treemenu is the possibility of state saving!

A: I've just checked your website and save state feature works fine for the ajax submenus.
