A: You can use icons before each item in the sub-menu.
You should use the following parameters:

- set icon in the "Item Parameters" window.
- set the width and height of this icon

Q: I have a top horizontal menu with one level sub-menus.

I am using images for the rollover (on & off). I don’t need the generated text on the main menu, only on the submenus.

A: You should delete item's text:

A: Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick/onContextMenu event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within items, for example:
