Q: A lot of things have come in between... Just a few more Q's before I order.

At the bottom of the page you refer to below, there is a table showing the tmenuItems array, itemInd and " submenuInd ". But in the examples on the same page, the function "dtreet_ext_getItemIDByIndex" takes the arguments (menuInd, itemInd). Is the argument "menuInd" the same as "submenuInd" referred to in the javascript menu design??

When I highlight an item on "onload" I need to expand that item's parent(s), right? What will happen to other, already expanded nodes when I do that? Will they still be expanded or collapsed?

A: 1) menuInd is the index of a tree menu on a page, >= 0.
First menu - menuInd=0
Second menu - menuInd=1
Third menu - menuInd=2
Fourth menu - menuInd=3
...

2) Yes, the already expanded nodes will be expanded.

Q: I am now running the newest version, all ok. A new client wants to have submenus openFor the left hand menu navigation that I purchased, can I choose what dhtml tree menus will be expanded or collapsed when the user first comes to the webpage for the first time?

For instance, right now, when the user first goes to the page ALL of the menus are collapsed. If I wanted the first and third tree menus to be expanded and the others to stay collapsed when a new user first went to the page, how would I accomplish that?

A: You can expand some items by default.
Add '+' sign before items text in that case:

Use   var texpanded=1; parameter to expand all menu items by default.

Use function dtreet_ext_expandItem (itemID, expand) API function to expand the specificmenu items dynamically:

Q: I am able to open the page but the 'x' which allows me to close the popup dhtml is missing.

A: Try to set this parameter:

closable:1,

Q: Could I create a function that displays thetab that the user clicked in the left tab menu.
These tabs are all within the same window, sothe page will always be the same.
Just need a function to make differenttabs appear.

A: Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.

For example:
