Q: I just need to know if there is a way of establishing the width at "runtime" in the javascript dynamic menu so that my frame in my frameset can be widened accordingly.
A: There are no special parameters for menu dimensions.
But you can use submenu IDs. For example, top-menu has ID"dmXXXm0"
Where XXX - menu index. So, first menu on the page has ID "dm0m0".
So, you can determine menu dimensions so:
document.getElementById('dm0m0').offsetWidth
document.getElementById('dm0m0').offsetHeight
You can also use Javascript API functions to take submenu IDs.
Q: I've spent the last 30 minutes or so looking for samples on how to create a simple pop up window. I downloaded the trial, put in the html, saved the js file, etc etc. But there is no sample so I can't see exactly how to do the html.
Like, in the tuner it says to enter the ID of the link. What is this? where do I put the onClick code? where can I find the onClick code? There is a lot of info missing here.
Please send a simple template so I can see how a popup is done. Not a menu, just a popup.
A: > But there is no sample so I can't see exactly how to do the html.
You should create the pop up window in Deluxe Tuner and export it in the HTML page "File/Export/To HTML".
See more info about installation here:

> where can I find the onClick code?
See you can show the popup window when you hover, click or mouseout on some elements on yourpage. For example you've added an image in your html page. You should specify the ID for it, for example:
<p><img id="open_popup" border="0" src="images/submenu-bg.gif" width="170" height="29"></p>
So, in the Deluxe Tuner you should enter 'open_popup' object ID in the onMouseOver,onClick or onMouseOut fields.
Actually you can assign id to any object on your page manually. You should specify ID's - id="xxxx"for <a>, <div>, <img> ... tags.
If you want to show the popup when your page loads you should leave these fields empty:
onMouseOver:"",
onMouseOut:"",
onClick:"",Q: I have used your Deluxe-menu on my websit. With the browser Opera I have problems with the dhtml scrolling menu item-color. If I select the menu at the first time, the item color is black. After select a menu item the menu item color is #f0e4cc, this is correct. After re-select the menu the item color is #f0e4cc also. After browser re-start the menu item color is black :-(
A: See it is not correctly to write colors in the following way (without # symbol):
var fontColor=["f0e4cc","f0e4cc"];
You should write:
var fontColor=["#f0e4cc","#f0e4cc"];
Your menu will work correctly in all browsers in that case.Q: Is it possible to centere mouse over drop down menu?
A: Check that you set relative position for the menu:
var absolutePos=0;
var posX="0px";
var posY="0px";
Place your menu in DIV or TABLE with center alignment.
