Q: I’ve tried every configuration available—absolute and relativepositioning and so on. I can’t get the menus to display correctly.

I have to offset the topDX by -150 and so on just to fudge it into a CLOSE position…it certainly doesn’t mirror the preview window


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your

css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add style="position:absolute;"

to the

<DIV id=navholder>

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=navholder style="position:absolute;">


Q: Hello, I am trying to figure out how to use the Dynamic functionality in the java menu codes. I believe I want to use something like the dm_ext_changeItemVisibility function, and I want it to be dependent on HTML wrapped around the menu item.

Below is functionally how I want it to work:

Show menu item 2

You can call these function via javascript depending on your conditions.



Q: I would like to use it in a page containing two iFrames.

The iFrame called "nav" is where the menu will appear and the iFrame called "main" is where I want any sub-menu items to appear.

How can this be done given there are no "frameset" tags in this type of structure?


A: Deluxe Menu doesn't work with <IFrame> objects.
It works with<frameset> objects only. All it can to do with <IFrame> is to loadpages into it.

You should use standard installation for the menu.
