How do I highlight main menu items when I selected a main category?

A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover. We'll try to add the pressed state in the future.

You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: Now, one more little question -

in a Tree menu, I know how to make a menu expand by default and expand only on a mouse click.

However, I believe there is a way to make a menu item expand on a "mouse over" without a click.

How can this be done?


A: No, unfortunately it is not possible to expand the tree menu onmouseover now. It is possible that we'll add this feature in the nextversion.


Q: Is it possible to change the background color of just one of the menu buttons within a sub navigation bar?

A: Yes, it is possible.Use Individual Item Styles.

Q: I have not been able to get the dhtml context menu - or any other Javascript - to appear. I use FrontPage2000. Any ideas?

A: See how you should install Deluxe Menu on your pages.

Deluxe Menus weren't developed as Dreamweaver/Frontpage extension,BUT you can use it as standard Javascript files. To install the dhtml context menuinto your html page:

1. open the page in your program
2. open html source code of the page
3. add several rows of code (<script> tags), For info see:
http://deluxe-tree.com/installation-info.html

That's all.

It is possible that Dreamweaver changes some paths, so you havean error in the preview.
On your site or in your browser there'll be no errors.

Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner application.
You can create any dhtml context menu as you like in Deluxe Tuner.

2. You should install the menu on your page.
You can click, for example, File/Export to HTML (you can't do it inthe MAC version).
