Q: Do you have an extremely simple example of modifying a dynamic drop down menus with the JavaScript API? I've played with the example on the site, but I have trouble removing the other menus without breaking it.

I just want to use the API to change the icon on the menu items.

Q: I know this must be somewhere in your support information but I can't find it. Can you tell me something I could do for people who have Javascript turned off so they can at least use my base menu (not the submenus).


A: When your security settings in IE doesn't allow Javascript onpages you load you can't see a dynamic page content.

There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.

Deluxe Menu is a search engine friendly menu since v1.12.
To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

Q: Hi, I purchased your deluxe-menu product and it's working great, the only problem I'm having is the tree menu in javascript is always fully expanded when a new customer enters the site. I've looked through your support blog but I can't find a reason for it.

A: Check that parameter:

  var texpanded = 0;

It expands all items by default.


Q: I have read your FAQ's on "When using javascript tabbed menu, where do I place the text content related to the selected tab", but I am still not understanding how to edit the java text menu. A: You should specify any Object ID name of the DIV.

See, for each java text menu item you should assign the ID property of the contentDIV (see data file with your menu parameters).
