A: You should generate search engine friendly code and install it on yourpage. Deluxe Menu is a search engine friendly menu since v1.12.To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

<a href="http://deluxe-tree.com">menu_item_text2</a>
...etc.
</div>

To generate such a code use Deluxe Tuner application.

Run Tuner, load your menu and click Tools/Generate SE-friendly Code (F3).

Q: I never had trouble with your other scripts but Deluxe Tuner is very difficult and I am about to give it up.

I am trying to set up a new navigation bar using vista 3-1. If I add another Vista drop down menu buttons, they have a completely different look to the ones with the templates. It makes no sense.

How do I add items and have it remain the same look?.


A: See, in Vista style templates we use Individual Item Styles for thetop items.
For, example select the first item on the main window.

In the "Item Parameters" window you can see Individual Styles assignedfor this item:
Item Style - Top Item
Submenu Style - Top Menu

When you add the new item you should assign Individual Styles for itin the same way.

Q: The menu is the table imbedded to the layer.

If you want to center the menu paste itwithin the <div>> or <table> with a static position and specify a center alignment for it, for example:

Please, set exact value for   var menuWidth parameter, for example:

  var menuWidth = "500px";
This can help to align your menu correctly in all browsers.
Try also to specify units in "px".
Set also:
  var absolutePos = 0;

If you want to use absolute position for the menu, use varabsolutePos=1 instead of absolute position for div.


Q: I am trying out your menu and I've made out a little test case in the attached file.

If you run it, you will see that the horizontal drop down menu css scrollsOUTSIDE the container div to the edges of the window. Is there anyway I can make the hhorizontal drop down menu css be within the container div and yet scroll?

And will the solution be cross-browser?

Note that menuDiv needs to have a collapsableDiv style. I am assuming that that is not a problem.
