  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.

Q: Is there a way to change the indent on the top tree dhtml menu ajax items?

I would like them to be closer to the left margin.

A: Use the following dhtml menu ajax parameter:

Q: I need to load a tab page and have the correct javascript menu rollover tab showing based on a variable that is available when the page loads. How do I get the tab to change to a different tab then the one defined in the configuration file?

Example

bmenuItem = 0; /* this is the default */

When my page reloads I want bmenuItem = someVariable;

How do I do this?

A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected javascript menu rollover tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.

You can also set it on every page before you call data.js file, forexample:

Q: I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the menu to work properly. I want to make sure that I get it working before I make the licesning purchase.

The menu is to be CSS based but while I have the main menu somewhat in location, none of the settings are correct. Can you help?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
To get the value you should move .css style into style="POSITION: relative;" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css

Try to write so:
<DIV id=if-navbar style="POSITION: relative;">
