Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.
  • Create separators using your own pictures, size and alignment.

Yes, you can use any number of popup menus on your page.

You can use onMouseOver event instead of onClick or onContextMenu events in that case.

Each menu has ID. The ID's number starts with 0.

So, when you have several data files on your page you have such ID's:

If you want to have different Popup menus (there color, item, text,font and so on) you should create different .js files with yourparameters. And call them from your page, for example:

Q: I want to use

But how do I refer to tmenuItems array using itemID in the javascript?
For example, if I want to pop a link text, should I use alert(itemID[0]))?
It doesn't work.
Please let me know how I refer to the menu.

A: You should use the following function to get item's info:

dtreet_ext_getItemParams (0, itemID);

For example:

Q: I need the links for the side navigation bar to be vertical
and the pop up to come up on the right, rather than the bottom.

A: You should use the following parameters:

Q: I have a menu defined that displays and operates correctly in a page. However, if I place that same page in an iFrame the menu displays correctly BUT the texpanded parameter no longer works.
If I copy the contents of the iFrame and run it again in a new window, it all works fine again.

Is there something special I need to do in an iFrame?


A: Deluxe Tree Menu doesn't work with <IFrame> objects. It works with objects only. All it can to do with <IFrame> is to loadpages into it.
You should use standard installation for the menu.
