  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: If I use the Search Engine Friendly Code feature, do I have to update or redo it each time I change the drop menu script and save, or if I do it once to the file will it automatically update on every save?

A: If you change drop menu script items (item's text and links) you should updateyour search engine friendly code. Deluxe Tuner doesn't update it onevery save (when you save your data file).

There is no need to update it when you change menu parameters only.



Q: I purchased the most recent version of "Deluxe Menu & Tree & Tabs & Window Multiple Website License", and now can't open menus from previous versions. When I try to open a custom drop down menu that was created in an older version, I get the error:

Can't open the file:
c:\webs\ltron\ltronmenudata.js
Check youre encode parameter

This happens on all of the older menus that we're trying to update............Do I have to run some type of conversion program on older menu files?

Please let me know as quickly as possible.........we have over 100 custom drop down menus out there and now it seems that we can't edit them!

A: This message means that you should change the encoding:

"Tools/Use utf8 encode"

Change this setting and then open your data files.



Q: Can you provide an example of how to dynamically change the menu items at runtime for the dropdown menus?
(asp is fine, but if it needs to javascript that is also ok)

A: 1) You can use API functions to affect items dynamically:

2)Generate your menu items dynamically from database.
Unfortunately we don't have working example with ASP.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: I'm having an issue with horizontal alignment of Deluxe Menu.
The alighment is off to the right in Firefox... How can I correct the alignment of Deluxe Menu in FireFox?

A: Please, see dropdown menu parameters. They contains:

  var menuWidth="0";

Please, set exact value for this parameter, for example:

  var menuWidth="400px";

It's necessary to specify exact value for Mozilla browsers.
It helps to position Deluxe menu correctly.
