Q: Just wondering if it is possible to select a specificdhtml tab via JavaScript.
Eg. A link on the page to select the next tab (or any other for that matter)
A: You can use the following function to open appropriate tab:
Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.
You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.
For example:
<DIV onClick="dtabs_itemClick(0,2)" style="width: 200px; border: 2px solid #000;">Click to open the third tab</DIV>
Q: I want to activate script pop up by a hyperlink.
A: Drop down menu items is an array of arrays. It has the following structure:
var menuItems = [
[text, link, iconNormal, iconOver, tip, target, itemStyleInd, submenuStyleInd, jsFilename],
[text, link, iconNormal, iconOver, tip, target, itemStyleInd, submenuStyleInd, jsFilename],
...
];
where target is target for an item link.
Available values: _self, _blank, _parent, _search, _top.
So you can set the target value _blank for the items you need.
For example:
var menuItems = [
["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Product Info","", "deluxe-menu.files/icon1.gif", "deluxe-menu.files/icon1o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["|Features","http://deluxe-menu.com", "", "", "", "_blank", "", "", "", "", "", ],

["|Dynamic Functions","testlink.html", "", "", "", "_blank", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Purchase","http://deluxe-menu.com/order-purchase.html", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Contact Us","testlink.htm", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
];

In the "Item Parameters" window you'll see parameters of this item.
You should paste your link in the link field.
Q: Although our college standard is IE, a lot of our students use firefox. I tried the css drop menu in Firefox 2, and it works, but the nice transition effect isn't there. Will you make this work soon?
A: Transparency and other transitional effects are supported by IE 5.5+only. This is MS IE feature. Other browsers don't support them.
