Q: This is the problem I need to solve.

When the page loads with dhtml menu with images in Firefox 3, ALL the copy in ALL the tabs is displayed in the browser and I can't figure out what I need to do to change that. What I want displayed is ONLY the copy assosiated with the default tab.

A: You should add style="visibility: hidden;" for a content DIVs.

Q: One other question, how do you get the menu bar to highlight and stay on the page you are viewing rather than highlighting home the whole time.


A: You should set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: How do I turn off the transitional effects for the html menus (is there a flag)?

A: To turn off transitional effects you should set the following parameters:

  var transDuration=0;
  var transDuration2=0;

Q: I am unable to make content show for each tab in the dhtml tab navigation.
I can make it open a new webpage, but that isnt what I want.
What I want is when the visitor clicks a tab, then content for
that tab shows, on the same page, and the tab menu still there.
