Q: Is there a way we can add javascript behaviors to the sliding dhtml menu actions?
For example, is there a way we can add an onClick function to a menu item
(eg,onClick="return MyFunction( )" ) so that we can catch and process key events?
A: Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick/onContextMenu event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within items, for example:
var menuitems = [
["item text
", ""]
];
You can use your own Javascript code instead standard links. For example:
var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_code_here"]
];
Try that.Q: Hi there. I need to be able to customize the x & y coordinates of each submenu in the javascript horizontal menu. I don't see such a control in the GUI interface. How can I do this?
A: Unfortunately it is not possible to set these parameters for eachsubmenu individually. You can set them for all submenus.
Use the following parameters ('Positioning' section):
var topDX=0;
var topDY=1;
var DX=-5;
var DY=0;
Q: I am putting your deluxe menu on our pages but if I do not put the menu on top, then it the sub menus appear on opposite direction (from bottom to top.) So instead of dropping down, they drop up.
We do not want this to happen. Can you please let me know how to resolve this issue?
Mouseover menu submenu drops up unless you scroll down or put the menu on top.
A: See if your submenu has a big height and there is no enough room under the menu to showthe whole submenu the submenu will be shown above the menu (if there is enough space toshow the whole submenu).
You can set exact height for the submenus, so they will go in the place under the menu.Q: I am trying to change the Width for only one javascript popup menu item and going to the below menu individual style and changing the smwidth .
But this is not changing.
A: You should assign Individual Submenu Style for the items.
You can assign it in the "Item Parameters" window.
Select for example the first item in submenu and assign IndividualSubmenu Style.
