Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

Q: I'm trying to find a decent, simple, working example of a dynamically-generated DHTML Pop-up Window. Using the "Deluxe Tuner" to generate static files is unacceptable for our use. We must create pop-up menus on the fly.

I tried piecing together a working pop-up window application, but kept getting "Error! Skin Load!" and couldn't figure out what files or where to get them (or put them) for the Windows Vista Graphite skin.



A: Create a new project, choose the Windows Vista Graphite Style for it.
Save your project. Use in your html file this function to open a window for your link :

Q: I need to be able to highlight the selected menu en dhtml item of the Deluxe Menu.

A: Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your menu en dhtml data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.



Q: I have been playing around with the demo version 2.4 of deluxe tabs, and have a couple of questions & comments:

Deluxe Tabs appears to not work at all on Windows Vista machines running Internet Explorer. This includes for example that the content in the dhtml tabs simply does not appear. Is there a fix for this?

Just want to make sure I can resolve these issues before making a purchase.

A: Try to use the latest version of Deluxe Tabs v3.2.9.

Try to delete height: 0%; parameter from the styles:

<div id="content1" style="height: 0%; visibility: hidden;" class="tabPage">

So you'll have:

<div id="content1" style="visibility: hidden;" class="tabPage">

Q: Can you tell me why these two simple dhtml tabs menus are conflicting and overwriting?

A: Notice, when you have several dhtml tabs menus on the one page you should calldtabs.js file only once.
