I have a list of 12 items, each with a submenu that is loaded using the ajax technology. The submenues are loaded correctly for the first 8 items, but not for the last 4 items. I can switch items around, always the first 8 only get loaded. Is there a limitation to 8 items?


A: No, there is no such limitation.

Please, check the following parameter:
  var dmAJAXCount=0;

That variable set the maximal number of submenus that will be loadedfrom server on your page.


Q: We are experimenting with your library but can't seem to make it work. I am getting "d_ddm is undefined" in dmenu_popup.js menu script.

Could you tell me what we are doing wrong?

A: You should change

onClick="return dm_popup(1, 500, event);

to

onClick="return dm_popup(0, 500, event);

If you have only one menu on the page your menuInd = 0;

Q: The drop-down submenus are now going "up" instead of "down" in the drop down menus in javascript.

A: Set the following parameter:

  var subMenuVAlign="top";


Q: I would like to use it in a page containing two iFrames.

The iFrame called "nav" is where the menu will appear and the iFrame called "main" is where I want any sub-menu items to appear.

How can this be done given there are no "frameset" tags in this type of structure?


A: Deluxe Menu doesn't work with <IFrame> objects.
It works with<frameset> objects only. All it can to do with <IFrame> is to loadpages into it.

You should use standard installation for the menu.
