  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! You can also specify height and width for each separate submenu.
  • Build menus completely based on Cascading Style Sheets. It is possible to appoint the individual CSS styles for separate elements of the menu.

Q: I have setup some tabs on a site that I am designing and for some reason when i click on a tab and it links to another page it automatically highlights the first tab in the row.
  I have triedfiddling with it and have not been able to figure it out.  Can someone point me in the right direction to have the correct tab selected in the css tab menu after i click it and goto the page.


A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.

Q: Can search engines follow the items of navigation menu?

A: You should generate search engine friendly code and install it on your page.
Deluxe Menu is a search engine friendly menu since v1.12.
To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

To generate such a code use Deluxe Tuner application.

Run Tuner, load your menu and click Tools/Generate SE-friendly Code (F3).



Q: I have 6 menu items that are ALL graphics...they can't just be background images because they all have graphic text, so the rollovers are unique to each menu item. I just need it to function like a typical rollover with images.


A: Yes, you can create such menu.

You should write your menu items in the following way:

Q: The menu maps to the width size of the longest menu item on the list, can you tell me how I can restrict this, and have a fixed menu size.

A: Unfortunately it is really so.
You can try to wrap your text.

You should set the following parameter:

  var noWrap = 0;

or use <br> tags within menuItems.
