Q: Do you have any tutorials on how to use dropdown menu maker?

A: Unfortunately we don't have step by step tutorial yet.
We'll try to create it in the nearest time.

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

When you open Deluxe Tuner you can click "File/New"
and add items and subitems using buttons "Add Item" and "Add Subitem" on
the main window.

You should set items and subitems parameters on the "Item Parameters"
window.

2. You should install the menu on your page.
You can click, for example, File/Export to HTML.

So, you'll have folder with all engine files and images
("deluxe-menu.files/" folder by default), deluxe-menu.html file and
data-deluxe-menu.js file with all menu parameters.

Open deluxe-menu.html file in any text editor and copy several rows of
code into your page (for example index.html page of your website).

Copy and paste several rows into your html page (index.html).

You should also copy "deluxe-menu.files/" folder with all engine files
dmenu.js
dmenu_add.js
dmenu_dyn.js
dmenu_key.js
dmenu_cf.js
dmenu_popup.js
dmenu_ajax.js
dmenu_search.js
and data-deluxe-menu.js file into the same folder with your index.html page.

Try that.



Q: Is there a way to programmatically close a hover popup via javascript?

A: You can close the popup using the following function:document.getElementById('win').hide();

Unfortunately it won't work if you use iframe as window content.
You open another page in the popup (in Iframe) so you cannot access
document.getElementById('win').hide();
element which is situated on the first page.

When you use text or object_id as window content the content of the popup will be situated
on the same page so you can access document.getElementById('win') element and hide it.

There is a workaround for Iframe.
Use text as content type and add the following code inside popup:

<a onclick="document.getElementById('win').hide();">...</a> <iframe></iframe>

Q: I would like to know how to put items in on multiple lines for the horizontal navigation
(i.e. create a line feed), how do I tell my code to start a new menuitem on the NEXT line?

A: There are 2 ways to do that:

1) set

  var noWrap=0;

2) use <br> tags, for example:

  var menuItems = [
 ["|Here is where <br>I would like <br>to have a line<br> feed",,"","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "",],
];



Q: How can I from javascript code change a displayed tab selection to another one in the dynamic menu tabs... lets say from first tab to the third tab?


A: This Tabs menu can save pressed item automatically within1 page only.
If you open another page, the menu can't remember presseditem.
You should do that manually using Javascript and menu parameters
(  var bselectedItem and   var   var bselectedSmItem) or using any server-side script (php, asp, etc.)

Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.

If your site is written on PHP you can set "bselectedItem" and "varbselectedSmItem" parameters
based on your link beforeyou call your data file.

For example, move "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.
