  • Use a mouse to move a menu as a usual window. Also you can create the menu where each submenu can be "separated" from the menu (MS Office toolbar-like mode).
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes.

Q: I am very interested in using your deluxe menu products for my new website design, particularly the Tree Menu. I've been looking at the javascript tree source and am a bit worried that the links used will not be recognised by Search Engine robots - do you have any information regarding implementation of your menus so that the links are fully visible to search engines ?

A: You can generate search engine friendly code.
Deluxe Tree is a search engine friendly menu since v2.4.
To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

<div id="dmlinks">
<a href="http://deluxe-menu.com">menu_item_text1</a>
<a href="http://deluxe-tree.com">menu_item_text2</a>
...etc.
</div>

To generate such a code use Deluxe Tuner application.
You can find this GUI in the trial package.
Run Tuner, load your menu and click Tools/Generate SE-friendly Code (F3).



Q: The only problem I still have is with Netscape and Firefox users...the down javascript menuis not centered on their pages...what can I do to remedy this??
Any suggestions??

A: Try to set exact width in "px":

  var menuWidth="500px";



Q: How do you center the text within the top-level menu cels for the xml drop down menu?
There doesn't seem to be a setting for it in the tuner.
There's a justification option for the sub-menus, but not for the top.

A: Use the following parameter to specify align for the top items:

  var itemAlignTop="center";

Q: We purchased your Deluxe Menu 2.0 and have realised that in the Firefox browser the shadowing around the css javascript menu is not visible.

Please could you tell us how to correct this.

A: See, transitional effects (shadow) are features of Internet Explorer 5.5+ only.
